Insight
The FIFA World Cup is a moment of national pride and unity, and Spain’s journey to the 2014 tournament in Brazil as defending champions was highly symbolic. Iberia saw an opportunity to amplify this pride by transforming their A-330 into a flying emblem of support for the national team.
Idea
Iberia vinyl-wrapped the plane carrying the Spanish national team to Brazil, featuring bold, celebratory copy written to inspire fans and celebrate the players. The campaign gained massive amplification when star players like Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos shared the initiative on their social media channels. Additionally, my own face appeared in the shooting for the campaign, connecting the creative team with the project’s execution.
Impact
The campaign sparked global conversations, with social media posts by the players reaching millions of fans and solidifying Iberia’s position as a proud supporter of Spanish football. The visual transformation of the plane became a centerpiece of excitement for the tournament, blending aviation and sport in a unique expression of national pride.
